Coffee Zone, a bistro since 2005, sits on the ground floor of 1101 Brickell, with tables out on a shaded terrace. In its 2011 Best of Miami, Miami New Times named Coffee Zone’s café con leche, served sweet and light, the best in town, and in 2013 the paper ranked it third among Miami’s ten best: “warm, creamy milk and jolt-inducing java.” The kitchen cooks with influences from Argentina and around the globe, from Argentine-style empanadas and milanesas at lunch to a grill menu after hours.

The menu

Cuban coffee, Argentine classics and a grill after hours.

Breakfast brings omelettes, bagels, Cuban toast and the Breakfast Special with a 10 oz café con leche. Lunch adds Argentine-style empanadas, milanesas, vacío with chimichurri, Cuban picadillo, pastas and wagyu smashed burgers. After hours the grill turns to prime skirt steak, honey-glazed lamb chops and a 14 oz wagyu ribeye, with Argentine Malbec on the wine list.
