Inside The Westin Jersey City Newport

Classic American cuisine with a modern twist, in Newport since 2009.

Fire & Oak has served Jersey City since 2009 from inside The Westin Jersey City Newport, near Newport Centre and the waterfront and minutes from New York City. The bar pours handcrafted cocktails and shucks fresh oysters at happy hour, and the Veranda, an enclosed outdoor room with a fire pit, is open all year. Five private spaces, from the 12-seat Tavern Room to the main dining room, host business dinners, rehearsal dinners and birthdays. A sister Fire & Oak serves Montvale.

The menu

USDA Prime steaks, fresh seafood and handcrafted sushi.

The steaks are wood grilled and seasoned with sea salt and pepper: a 10 oz. filet mignon, a 16 oz. Sterling rib eye and a 14 oz. USDA Prime NY strip. Around them are a raw bar, sushi rolls, Roman-style pizzas, pastas and daily specials made with local and seasonal ingredients. On weekends the Champagne brunch brings Bananas Foster French toast, the house specialty.
