A neighborhood-owned noodle house, with its own tea shop under the same roof.

JiBeiChuan began in China in 2018 and grew to more than 400 stores there in five years. The Jersey City restaurant on Grove St is a neighborhood-owned small business. Its owners also opened Laankee TeaShop in the same space, pouring Hong Kong milk teas made the traditional way.

The menu

A golden broth simmered every day, and noodles tossed in house braise.

The signature is fish maw chicken: rice noodles in a golden broth slow-simmered from a stewing hen, “rich, silky, and deeply comforting.” The braised dry noodles come tossed in layers of house braise. Around them are Sichuan cold plates, Thai and Tom Yum soups, Japanese ramen and udon, and “wok-fired stir fries infused with smoky wok hei.”

Since August, Pinkbot has delivered JiBeiChuan’s orders from Grove St.
