Hidden in the Ingraham Building, found by word of mouth.

Four partners who met through their hospitality careers, Carlos Lavalle, Gonzalo Rinaudo, chef Robert Pereira and Robert Salinas, saw that downtown Miami was missing a fast-casual Asian spot. In 2022 they opened Kitsune House inside the Ingraham Building, completed in 1927, and filled it with anime posters, neon, graffiti murals and old-school sci-fi. Salinas and his son, a big anime fan, bring back finds from anime conventions to decorate it. The place has grown by word of mouth, one guest at a time.

“We wanted to create a place where we would want to go to lunch all the time.”Robert Pereira, chef and partner, to Miami New Times, 2024

The menu

Glazed beef. Crispy noodles. Wok everything.

Pick one of ten sauces, from Mongolian, orange and honey garlic to kung pao, General Tso and coconut curry, then veggies, tofu, chicken, steak or shrimp. Noodles and fried rice come off the wok too, with dumplings, spring rolls and lettuce wraps to start, and cheesecakes and key lime pie to finish. Chef Robert Pereira wanted “a place where people could feel they were getting a bang for their buck.”
