“You put your faith in us so we gotta give that back.”
Julian Muscio · Co-owner, Luna Restaurant & Bar

¿Por qué Luna?
A moon that belongs to everybody, in an old bank on Grove Street.
Julian Muscio is a child of immigrants from Argentina. He and his siblings grew up working at Paisano’s, the Italian restaurant his family has run in Rutherford since 1989. In 2018 Julian, his brother Justin and their father Danny took the old bank at 279 Grove Street, turned its safe room into a wine cellar and opened Luna on April 23. He chose the name from about 50: luna is the moon in Spanish, the language he grew up speaking.
“We wanted a word or symbol that kind of encompassed something that belongs to everybody.”Julian Muscio, to Slice of Culture

Next to the Italian classics sit empanadas, a skirt steak with chimichurri and, at the bar, the Fernando: Fernet Branca, Coca-Cola and lime.
