A sushi bar and lounge in the heart of downtown Hoboken.

Sushi Lounge opened on Hudson Street in December 2000, started by two lifelong friends and a third partner, all born and raised in New Jersey. Hoboken is the flagship: a second Sushi Lounge followed in Morristown in 2004, and a third in Totowa in 2007. On Hudson Street the sushi bar works beside a full bar of sake, wine, beer and signature cocktails, with happy hour on weekday afternoons. In 2025 a Chef Standards ranking named it the best sushi in New Jersey.

The menu

Seventeen special rolls, from the Hoboken Roll to the Sushi Sinatra.

The sushi bar serves grade A sushi and sashimi by the piece, chef’s platters and seventeen special rolls. Three rolls carry the names of home: the Hoboken, the Hudson and the Totowa. And in Frank Sinatra’s hometown, the list runs to a Sushi Sinatra and a Lady is a Tramp. The kitchen adds hibachi, tempura, teriyaki and entrées like miso Chilean sea bass. In 2025 Chef Standards wrote: “Plates arrive as colorful works of art.”
